The Root Pouches have been such a success in our grow! They are the ideal container for excellent drainage and preventing root binding, plus they are ultra-lightweight using eco-friendly materials.
Chloe Cowles
Growers operating with a sustainability model use Root Pouch hydroponic grow bags because they have the least environmental impact being made from recycled plastic water bottles. Each pallet of Root Pouch fabric pots diverts an average of 10,200 plastic water bottles from the landfills and oceans. The carbon footprint of transportation & storage is reduced: for every truck of Root Pouch pot, it takes 6 trucks to transport the same size of plastic pots.
Why are natural fibers beneficial in Grow Rooms? Natural fiber blend offers thermal consistency and retains distribution of water throughout the fabric wall which lessons water usage.
How is recycled plastic material safe? The PETE plastic is melted back to a sterile liquid state and then spun into fibers that are mixed with natural fibers which degrade over time. Because the plastic is remelted, it is once again sterile making it a great choice for growing plants for human consumption. No new petroleum is used so none of the pouches contain any toxins. Each fabric bag is BPA-free and UV resistant.
