These custom wholesale fabric pots are sewn from a black, spun-bonded fabric that has been laminated with a white coating used on the RootTrapper® Fabric Grow Bags.  This unique fabric combination stops circling roots and continues to stimulate root branching by trapping the root tips,  Held up to the light, you will see hundreds of pinholes in the fabric which provides superior drainage and aeration.  It is the aeration that makes these fabric pots the preferred plant container choice.  When a container has no aeration (as is typical in traditional plastic nursery pots), the plant roots grow out until they reach the walls of the nursery container.  Once this occurs, the plant roots begin circling the plastic nursery pot causing the plant to smother itself with a mass of roots filling up the container.

Root circling does not happen with fabric pots.  Instead, when the roots reach the fabric wall, the air prunes their tips which signals the plant to grow more lateral roots four inches back from the root tip.  A fibrous root system means a greater root tip surface area and translates to greater efficiency in the absorption of water and nutrients; an increase in growth rate, establishment, and vigor; higher transplant survivability; and u ultimately superior performance for your customers.

White Coated Fabric Value

The white outer coating greatly reduces container temperatures so roots do not die on the sunny side as with black plastic plant containers.  Water usage is also reduced as there are no large drain holes or evaporative sides; water seeps out the hundreds of holes created by the base stitching.
