Unleash^® PGPR Biostimulant for Cannabis

Root burn is a common problem when growing cannabis plants due to the large amount of nitrogen required for high yields. Unleash’s microbes will digest the fertilizer, providing nitrogen to the plant free of the salts that “burn” your plant’s roots. One of the more difficult steps in cannabis production is successfully growing clones from the mother plant. Unleash’s microbes help clone survival by providing nutrients that clones need to develop roots and protecting the new roots from pathogenic fungi. The way a plant “sees” its local environment (the soil matrix surrounding the root system) is through the microbes that live on the roots and digest nutrients for the plant. When you transplant, this process must first occur before the plant can grow. With Unleash® microbes already present on the root system prior to transplant, your plants will begin to grow immediately after transplanting, shortening the length of the growth cycle. Mycorrhizae are beneficial plant root fungi that extend and protect the root system. Just like plants, mycorrhizae need help from Unleash’s microbes to get the nutrients they need to colonize and extend the plant root system.

How is Unleash applied?  As a root inoculant, the maximum benefits will occur when Unleash is applied to the roots or near the base of the stalk when watering.  However, additional benefits may also be seen if Unleash is also applied to the leaves, as Unleash microbes can make the leaves more resistant to damage from common pests.

Is special water application needed?  No.  Unleash can be used in almost every system available:  directly injected into drip irrigation systems, sprinklers, sprayers or any other system.  It can also be applied using a tank or reservoir system.

How often should Unleash be applied?  Once every 2 weeks throughout the plant’s life cycle.

Can any water be used?  Only use with non-chlorinated water.

At what temperature is it activated?  Between 50° and 90°F.  It should be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid raising the water temperature above 90°F.

At what temperature range does Unleash&trade work?  At any surface temperature that crops will grow.

When is Unleash incorporated into the growing schedule?  For best results, apply either when you begin fertilization or as early as possible during your plant’s growth cycle.  For perennial plants, it is recommended post-harvest.

Can Unleash be started mid-growing season?  Yes, so long as the plants are still taking up nutrients.

What is the best way to incorporate Unleash?  To ensure that Unleash’s microbes reach the plant roots and don’t stick to the surface soil, it is recommended to water your plants for 15-20 minutes before application.  Once Unleash has been applied continue to water your plants as normal.

Does Unleash work with herbicides and pesticides?  It cannot be directly mixed with either during activation.  However, Unleash works fine with most herbicides and pesticides if applied to plants 2 weeks before or after herbicide/pesticide application.

How long does it take to activate Unleash?  To ‘wake up’ the microbes from their dormant state, dilute the concentrate with non-chlorinated water and allow mixture to rest for 30 mins up to 4 hours before applying.  If needed, mixture can be applied up to 3 days after mixing.

What type of container should be used to activate Unleash?  A clean, non-metal container.  The microbes will stick to a metal container so most would be lost before application.

There are clumps floating in the activated Unleash.  Is this a problem?  No.  Clumps are a normal part of the product.

I only have access to chlorinated water (municipal water), now what?  Chlorinated water will kill Unleash’s microbes.  To dechlorinate your water, add 1 teaspoon unsulfured molasses to every 5 gallons of water and leave it overnight.  Unleash can then be safely activated without microbe loss.  NOTE:  chlorinated water can be used to water you plants AFTER Unleash has been applied.

Will Unleash work with all soil types?  Yes, all soil, soilless, and hydroponic growing mediums except soil types with very high pH (pH>8).

Can Unleash be used with compost tea?  It is recommended to activate Unleash separately, then add to your compost tea mixture just before application.

AGRICULTURE APPLICATION of Unleash® PGPR Root Inoculant

1. Apply at a rate of 1 liter per acre split into 2 applications of 500ml (or 2 cups)
2. Shake well, then mix the 500ml (or 2 cups) of Unleash with 35 liters (or 109 gallons) of non-chlorinated water
3. For optimal results, allow the mixture to rest for 30 minutes up to 4 hours before applying.  If needed, the mixture can be applied up to 3 days after mixing
4. Proceed with the second application 3 weeks after the first application to complete the treatment
5. For best results, inject gradually to ensure it is evenly spread throughout the acre
6. Continue watering to ensure the bacteria reach the root zone of the plants, typically 2-6 hours more

INDOOR APPLICATION of Unleash® PGPR Root Inoculant

1. Use 1 ml of Unleash® per 1 gallon of water
2. Allow the mixture to rest for 30 minutes but not longer than 4 hours prior to application
3. Apply Unleash once every 2 weeks throughout the plant’s life cycle

For Optimal Results Apply as Follows:

• Soil Inoculation/Clones:  2ml per gallon of water
• Transplants:  2 ml per gallon of water
• Vegetative:  1 ml per gallon of water
• Flowering:  1 ml per gallon of water
